Arrow cam angle sensor au1

could someone please tell me where to fine the cam angle sensor on my au1,im led to believe that this is the main reason that my car is running like crap and chugging black out of the exhaust,I have replaced injectors, plugs, leads, oxygen sensor and maf sensor and still no change, fuel economy is out the window, plugs are black within a few weeks and oil is black and dirty within a fortnight,I am using no oil or water whatsoever, levels are fine but having to do an oil change once a f/n is really starting to peeve me off along with the price of fuel, getting lpg later this week YAY!

The cam angle sensor is on the front of the motor, above and to the right of the crank position sensor (as you look standing in front of the car). It measures the rotation of an idler shaft located where the camshaft was on the old OHV 250's. My idler shaft flogged out & was floating backwards & forwards, belting the crap out of the sensor. It showed up as rough running & power loss above 3000rpm, when the injector pulse pattern changes.

Have you had the DTC codes decoded? You seem to have replaced a lot of parts for no result.

Your symptoms sound more like a blown TMAP sensor.

where is that?? not having a good run!!,my D.T.E was very acurate but recently I have been getting down to 30 on the clock and she conks out!,every time I turn the key off and turn the car back on the D.T.E has lost another few k's, with $20 fuel for instance it will go from 30 something to only 90 and then at 30 die so works out to only 50-60 "usable" k's
Im about to give up!
too bloody expensive!
