Well, I fianally bit the bullet and ordered a Supercharger from the States.
I have been tossing up if I should just do the cam and edit etc. for 3 to 4 grand or get a supercharger......... The supercharger won. I have been speaking to a supercharger builder/reconditioner based in Texas (Loads of e-mails and a couple of long phone calls) and we have come up with all of the bits that will suit our AU Windsor V8's. It looks like most of the bits off a Mustang Renegade will work except for the bracket and a couple of other minor bits. So I have done it, I have orderd the blower and it will be on it's way next week. It will be set-up to run on LPG (As I have a GRA Install) so I am not too worried about the petrol side (Injectors, FMU etc.). It will also be low boost (6 to 8psi) so there will be no need to change any other engine internals. All up I will have this project complete for under $4k, that will include a Capa flash box and up to $400 on tunes. I will take heaps of photos and start a workshop build thread once the kit arrives and I get started. This is going to be fun!! Norton :evilsasmo |

So when you say the Mustang Renegade setup, is that with the Paxton NOVI-2000 head unit?
Sounds good. Will be interesting to see how it goes with an LPG setup....good luck with it all.

It is not as high in boost as the NOVI but it is what I was looking for, plus it was a very good price for a completely rebuilt blower. (The unit has new races, new shafts, oil pump, seals, balls, o-rings, completely NEW INSIDES). |

Sounds like a cracker of a project Norton. I'm sure many of us are looking forward to seeing how it goes, and hoping you have all manner of success.
All the best with it. GK

I don't expect it will go smoothly, these projects never do! The main thing is that it gets completed and works well, this I am confident I can achieve. I am aiming to be all done by the Heathcote trip (May 26th), I can then see how well it runs down the 1/4. This gives me heaps of time. Regards Norton |
