Has anyone seen these yet?
Seen them pop up on Ebay but they are a bit expensive. Would be nice in black though. Might have to get a set if they are in black!

The cruise brake sensor runs on the same line as the rear lights. If the resistance is not correct then it wont work.

what gets me is why they don't do all of the lights as led's, i mean brake/tail, indicator and reverse, just led brakes kinda defies the point

It is possible to use led's for the tail lights without it effecting the cruise control maybe, just you'de have to setup a relay with a load resistor the same resistance as the original light globe. A bit of extra wiring but can probaly be done. Something like the following maybe (the diagram is with the brakes off / with the relay not powered)

The wiring in the pic above should be very easy to do, which should enable the led lights to work with the cruise control. You could even just use the original light globe as the load resistor ! ( at least then you know the resistance is spot on ).
