Hey folks. Need help. Can anyone tell me of any problems involving putting a series 1 engine into an LPG series 2 ex-taxi? Much appreciated.

no issue unless one is VCT and the other is normal (but I doubt this would be an issue on your case)
Just use all the sensors from the AUII motor on the AUI motor in case ford changed something stupid, otherwise a motor is a motor by any other name.

You can if it has a duck call strapped to the blow off valve.

I had a aircon pump from a au series 2 fitted to my au series 1 and it was shorter in length and kept throwing the belt. The mechanic had to fit a series 1 aircon pump to solve the problem.

Should be a yellow sticker on it with some numbers. The reason I ask is that I bought a pump off e-bay for my series 2 but was unaware there were any difference between s1 and s2 Regards Peter |

Sorry peterban but it was done at a mechanic's shop, they were suprised that there was a difference between the series 1 and 2. Whoever they got the part from exchanged it for the right one and all was ok.
Will look tomorrow in daylight and see if I can see any part numbers for you but as we all know it's hidden away pretty well!!. Cheers and good luck Tony |
