i found a xr6 5sp ecu but not sure as yet if its for the VCT or HP model..should it make a difference if i put a VCT ecu in a forte motor???

i think it would start, not sure how it would run though.
Although this has nothing to do with AU VCT and your car isnt auto, i am telling my story anyhow !!! My dads old EF *RIP* GLi, he put an XR6 computer in it, and it ran better and more responsive, but the shifts on the auto were horrible, it would slam it into each gear regardless of throttle percentage. So i guess the ecu's are definately designed to be used with the hardware intended
