this issue of perth street car outlines a new way of sandblasting using baking soda!
there is only one place that does it here in wa but im sure all you fellas from the better parts of aus would know alot more about this? apparantly it is such a soft way of blasting you can blast a coke cans paint off without denting the can! also instead of scratching the paint the baking soda breaks apart on impact a takes little bits of paint with it! there is no risk of heat warping panels! can even just take off the first coat of paint! has a cleaning effect on the steal and doesnt scratch paint, chrome or rubber seals! so you dont have to strip anything off the car at all one cars outside can be blasted in 3 hours. i called the guy straight away and got a quote to do my cars outside engine bay and door trims....he only quoted $1100 and a days work Does any one know any more on this? any draw backs? how does this compare in price to normal sandblasting
