Arrow AU 11 Wagon annoying squeaks

G'day everyone

Still love my AU...but have had this very annoying squeak when turning right and sometimes when taking off....

Eventually it was discovered that the rear hand brake shoe clips had stretched beyond acceptable tolerance, allowing the shoes to make contact and squeak. This may be a common problem....

(Also for information purposes had the usual warped front rotors and glazed pads too..)

Here's an interesting one for ya. I've had both my wagons (EF & AU) front & rear springs re-set, for some reason, everytime I either wash the car/s or leave it/them parked on grass overnight, I get the rear spring.............it's not a squeak, more a rubber noise that usually disappears within a few minutes. I believe it has something to do with moisture, but also because they have been re-set as I have had other wagons parked overnight (mates/customers cars) & no problems. _

I have noticed that sometimes i get like squeeks and noises from around the dash area .. but soon as i 'armour-all' my interior the squeeks and noises go away until its due for the next armour-all, same with the door seals and stuff squeek after a while , but after a bit of vasaline rejuvinating them they shut up too. . I used to have squeeky brakes too all the time , but soon as i removed the disc protector covers all the noise went from there too . Squeek/creek & squeel free car at last

I reckon I'll remove mine on the SR. It'll look better, save me a little weight and might rid me of a few brake noises! LOL!

Hi Guys
I can't offer much in the way of solutions there. Squeaks and rattles while annoying are better than breakdowns I guess. XR6VCT maybe there's a join rubbing somewhere. Break down the Armour-all-ing into stages and you'll probably find it.

It's nothing major , i have a black interior so it gets darn hot in there after its been sitting in the sun all day , and its only usually after that that it squeeks a bit ( just the plastics buckling a bit in the heat and rubbing on each other) , my old XE had black interior too and used to do it too after leaving it sitting in the sun for a while . Even if i just sit it back in the shade for an hour or so until the interior cools off then the sqeeks go anyway.
