I can see this car outselling the VolksWagen Golf GTi at that price.

It surely is true. The options are $2000 for Recaro Leather seats, $300 for standard metallic paint & $1800 for the Electric orange Paint as seen @ the motor show.
PS. You will also find the 2 different territory Turbo models @ the mms. 1 of which is a Ghia Turbo which will have a black XR type leather seats, dual Exhaust outlets and 245kw & 480 nm XR6T engine. 18" Wheels & performance brake package. Only in AWD. Ford have certainly done their home work here. |

Cool, DSC is standard (was told it would be an option!). Guess all I have to do is get my ИИИИ in some Recaro's and see if they're for me.
For anyone having trouble choosing a colour due to Ford AU hardly even knowing whats available with their own cars, here's a quick colour chart I threw together last night to help me decide what I was going to get. I think everything except the dark grey and white model is available (colours taken from the UK website). |

Awesome value...What a bargain.
The only downer in comparison to the Golf is no 6 Speed DSG. Having driven many Golfs I can say that is an awesome tranny. Faster {straight line},smoother and more ecomomical that the Manual. |

What a bargain. Ill take one for a test drive when they are released just to see what its like. Why is that electric orange a 1800 dollar option thiers nothing that special about it.

Waiting lists will be massive on this one. The paint is a tri-coat pearlescent paint, goes in and out of paint shop 3 times before completion. A very expensive paint and much longer to paint, hence the higher cost.

I have just recently bought a 2005 Ford Focus Zetec, bit too soon to think about upgrading right now, only had my little pocket rocket about 6 weeks(but believe me I've been thinking about it), I'd love a set of those XR5 rims for starters .
I heard today that are only getting something like 100 in the first shipment so will be quite a waiting list I'd expect.

The paint is a tri-coat pearlescent paint, it physically goes through the paint shop in Saarlouis 3 times before completion. Very complex paint but has to be seen and touched to be believed, it is stunning. Can't wait! I'll be working there the next 3 days so come and say hi if you get a chance!
