AU1 WON'T CHANGE UP GEARS WHEN IN DRIVE Having a drama with my AU1, it's not changing gears when in drive. when taking off from a stand still it's like taking off in 3rd gear in a manual. I have to slide the gear lever to 1 or 2 to move off. Once moving there is no difference from 3 and drive, it just wont change up. Had to replace the the battery as the one it had calasped cells. Just installed a SS induction kit last week. have 21/2 inch from cat back. has any one got any ideas as wont the problem may be?

limp home mode maybe?
any oil leaks from the gear box? if so it may not have enough oil in it? one of the sensors/modules might have failed even. take it to Ford and tell them what its doing and what they think is wrong with it. |

The trnasmission has gone into limphome mode. Some sensor or other has failed or is reading out of range. Try disconnecting the battery to rest the ecu again.
