FG XR6 producing most torque in the world from an NA 6 (stock)

going by the 421nm on 98 octane i cant find a car with more torque from an NA 6 engine.

How much did the 4.9 L six fitted to F100s in the 80s/90s make? It might run it close for low down torque. Still, a pretty compelling reason not to switch to D37!

Highest Torque does not mean much when other 6 cyl cars have a higher AUC due to keeping and making more power at higher rev's.

Remember, the Ford I6 makes more power then the BMW V8 powering the M3. Torque isnt everything.

i realise it isnt everything but it helps alot for accelleration, im just curious if there is a NA 6 with more torque than it?

On paper, the FPV I6T makes more power than the M3 by 1 KW, Sounds good ? but to put that into perspective the M3 (with the same 4L capacity) does it without forced induction. There is no comparison.

Sure, but as well as being turbocharged, the F6 engine makes an extra 150 or so extra NM of torque over the M3 V8 which makes up for its lower red line.

However, I was comparing the I6N/A, not the I6T.

dont get me wrong the RS is mindblowing but
your'e comparing a $38,000 car to $330,000
you like to take little shots at me because im on my ps and drive a NA xr6... with close to your power output and is worth more just putting it out there i wouldnt say your 6 year old falcon is any head of mine... rekon you can keep the smartass comments to yourself? id rather add than argue

Where did Ford quote 421 nm on 98 for the I-6, I'm curious to see?

I know they were quoting 405 nm on 95.......
