It's me again lads,
Time to throw on some less dusty brake pads on the 220. I generally use Bendix HD, however this silly car with its bigger than standard Premium Tickford stoppers, has thrown me for a 6. Bendix don't do the HD for the rear. I did ask the tech dude, and he couldn't give me an explanation and suggested I use the general duty pads. Naturally I'm not going to do that because of bias issues, etc. So, what have you used with good bite, decent fade resistance, and NO dust. I don't want to spend big $$ either. Remember they need to be available for these silly Premium Tickford brakes.

do QFM make pads for premium? i find their not to dusty and price is amazing. most importantly really good stopping power

good bite, decent fade resistance and very minimal dust = QFM.

Lucas pads. A little bit dusty but not as bad as my bendix general CT pads i have fitted. When cold they are a bit **** but when warm after 10 mins of driving they bite well.
I had these pads fitted to a modified corolla years ago and it saw many circuit days, glowing rotors and still drove home ok.

QFM HPX sound like what I'm after.
I've just sent them an email asking whether they do the AU premium pads.

Another vote for QFM HPX pads Rick. I hope they can get them for your brakes. I do find there is some dust, but no where near as bad as Bendix SRT's or Ultimates or whatever they are called. The HPX pads have a rating to 550deg. You can also get the A1RM which got to 780deg but naturally will have more dust than the HPX's.

Well that was easy.
Made a few phone calls this morning, one to an old mate who I haven't dealt with for some time, he said the QFM HPX are good and similar to the Bendix HD. He also said the pads from a BA/BF rear are almost identical and said they can be used. I had to choose between the HPX and HD, and the price of the HD's was something like $60 less for full set. So I'm back with the HD's. Thanks for the help gents.

FWIW, I use Bendix Ultimate in the rear of mine and Ferodo Formula's in the front - no complaints at all.

I've always been interested in how the Ferodo's perform. Are they comparable to anything else, and how do you rate them?

Hey Shav -the Ferodos go great. Minimal fade, minimal dust. I'd probably rate them over the Bendix Ultimate product.

DB1353 is the front part number for the Tickford caliper, I'm using Bendix CTs on DBA4000 series rotors & no complaints of any sort regarding this pad... Not something Is use at a track day, but for street driving they're excellent, no noise no dust & negligible rotor wear.

Picked these up today, just so you you know, the part numbers are -
Front - DB1353 HD Rear - DB1376 HD That's for Bendix heavy duty to suit the Tickford premium brake package.

Sox - have used the above twice on my T3,same set up as the XR ofcourse but I use DBA4000's.
Best street compramise I have used and I'm back on them. I have used every brand mentioned above and by far the Bendix HD's suit my needs best for the others I either had too much dust,squeeling at low speeds <ferocious especially but this is my opinion only.

Ive got the HD's on the back rotors at the moment. As far as dust is concerned, there hardly is any. The front have got QFM HPX pads and after a week the wheels need a clean but not massively. After 2 weeks the wheels look significantly darker in color. I would rate the HPX's better for dust compared to the Ultimates I've had before. But the braking performance of the HPX's over the Bendix HD's was noticeable. Not mind boggling different but improved. But the dust was increased too in saying that.
