Driver's side window start scraping when it nearly 2 inches from getting to the top. Washed it the day before. Maybe a bit of grit?

Could be..
Is it scoring the glass? If so it might be grit or something. It might be the rubbers have hardened on either side of the glass. I usually use silicon spray lube on the rubbers after i wash the car. Read the 'common problems' sticky there might be more info. on windows. |

Jokular's onto it.
I use CRC silicone spray on all my rubbers and window surrounds too- it really treats the rubber and provides a nice "dry" lube too. It's also great on your mudflaps and tyres too- a psst- psst here,and a psst- psst there! Good as new! : |

is it just a scraping type noise inside the door...and do you have power windows?
if so i sugest that it could be your window regulator the cables etc stuff up and youl need a new reg..... |
