I received "my ford" magazine the other day and it said that the LV focus range will have USB and iPod connectivity. It didn't say what brand. It's a little annoying actually as my LV XR5 doesn't have it. There's a few guys on the xr5 forums that have imported parts from Europe as the st has this setup but it's costing them around $600!!

$600 isn't that bad if you get DVD, GPS and a reverse camera input. I would be interested in that! Actually, $600 is quite cheap.

Some on ebay going for around the $700USD mark but am not sure about their quality, which is why haven't bought as yet.

If you do get DVD and gps inputs then yeah it would be worth it but I'm pretty sure it's just an ipod and USB input for the existing Sony head unit.

If if that's all you get then I know for a fact that you can get an aftermarket setup for much cheaper. I sure did in my LR.

Oh. If that is the case, then very much not interested!

Excuse my ignorance on the LR (I have a Mondeo not a Focus) but does it have the steering wheel controls and the unique shape of the head unit? How did you go about making it all look good and maintain the use of the controls?

I am basically after a slot in head unit, which retains the use of the steering wheel controls, has a reversing camera option and GPS. Touch screen, tv and dvd are desirable without being mandatory.

The units coming in are just slot in same connectors and all, and retain steering wheel control!! They will probably be a ford option, But I have connections!!!!!! :evil3: I think the same as this one. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=320363821759

If they end up being $600, that would be a steal. I could see them flowing out the door at that price.

That's pretty gnarly.

Shame it won't fit in the LV though

I think this one would integrate best.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=150347081997

Clean, simple layout and similar to stock rotary knobs and fonts.
