I'm a member of Londonderry but I dont know how long for I'm very much over the bull

if your in a good brigade its the most rewarding experance you can have if theres a dick head trying to make his presence felt its the complete oposite

We have a Group Vehicle that is a Ford Courier but it wasn't available for the photo. Also some of our paid staff have ford falcons as their work cars.

bit off topic, but how easy is it (ie what do you have to do) to become a volunteer fire fighter??

each summer i feel guilty when i hear about bush fires, just cos (whilst im not that fit) i know i could lend a hand rather than sitting on my ar5e watching it happen on TV.

Go see your local brigade captain and have a chat to them. There are lots of jobs available for those who wish to help but are unable/unwilling to be firefighters such as catering, communications, community education, first aid, air support and many more. If you want more info here's a link http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au

Yeah I'm a volunteer rural firey just west of Rockhampton, it's not too bad despite the lack of numbers, plus the Triton we have as our unit is a total POS. Bring on the upgrade, please!

Better not tell the full story and embarass young Dano too much after his first time driving the bosses vehicle, but if I did it would involve words like kerb, tie-rod end, broken, tow truck, wheel alignment, that sort of stuff.

I refer you to Service Standard 1.1.3

Since my esteemed friend here has already given you the premise of what happened, I will tell you the TRUE and PROPER story. What happened was I had the vehicle parked on the grassed area just off my drive way. Long story short when I was taking the vehicle back to Mr Group Officer I drove forward off the gutter with the wheels locked to the right, wrong angle and it broke the tie-rod thingy. It was already stuffed long before I got to it, I just finished the job. hahaha
