Hi all, I am new here, so if this has been asked or posted elsewhere, I apologise.
Does anyone know who fits Shakers to the AU2 XR8. I have seen pics on different sites and seen one car on the road with on and they look great. Cheers |

It works the same as the BA shakers. There are pictures on the link I put up before, The just dirrect air into the factory airbox. Don't really think they would give any sort of gains other than looks.

I am just interested beacuse the ones I have seen on AUs and BAs have the buldge i didn't think it would fit without a buldge.

This might seem like a silly question but why do you still have the pod if its CAI ?

Sorry, does the shaker have a filter in it or does it just direct air. If it just directs air that would explain why you need the pod. If it just directs air then I agree it would be there just for looks. If it incorporated a filter then I don't think you could get any colder air and if that went straight into the throttle body that wold be better than standard. I saw the add and they claim better throttle responce etc but why ? Unless its meant to plug into your standard air box? The way you have it in your picture I would not expect much gain though. Heat from your motor etc.

You still need the pod filter, its straight thru air and it does makes a slight difference to performance as well, im running BMC filter, and for the curios there are holes for the water to ecape if any gets in like rain!!!!! or car wash!!!!! : I much prefer the shaker to the bulge even thogh they both look great personal pref |
