Default e series parts on au

ok i asked this question before for stealing ba parts and putting them on an au, but what about cheaper e series parts, will they fit, auto transmission, engine, breaks, shockies, i always figured the e series had the same engine as the au, that its only the ba thats changed recently, so if i steal an eb falcon and tear these parts up top of it and put it into an au2 will it fit? putting a little effort into it to make it fit is no problem but u can pick up an eb for 200 if its smashed and thats 200 for an engine the same as a 1000 dollar au engine, a big price difference

you can get an AU engine for 5 to 600 with low Ks and they are different. they would bolt up but there are differences not to mention the higher Ks that the e series would have. this would be a backward step after all ford didn't spend millions evolving the engine to make it the same or worse. so is saving 2 or 300 worth it?

On non IRS sedans, rear shocks are the same from about XD through to AU3. Transmissions you can use any 4 speed , so from EB to AU3 (may need to change wiring looms etc, but it will fit and work). Also, short motor will fit, but you'd use AU intake etc and ancilliaries.
