Default T3 interior trim

I have a red au xr8 and was quite envious of the colour matched scheme of the t series. The (only) local upholsterer asked for $4000 to do the job and the local ford company does sell em but for $650 per door. Either way its gunna be dear but i was just thinking of giving it a crack myself. Has anyone else done it and how much is involved? And what materials do you recomend?

I would be getting a few more quotes, I've seen some awesome interiors over the years that were very well priced,

You could do just the door cards using red UV vinyl for around $40 for all 4, and it looks like leather.

I just had 2 doors trims done ... in 2-tone grey leather ... just the door cards and the elbow pad ... and a Falcon logo stitched into each door.

Cost me $300 all up ... as the trimmer had enough off-cut leather left over from a larger job.

If doing seats as well ... you will need to get the trimmer to purchase an entire hide ... but it will cover everything else.

I was quoted just over the $1,000 mark to have both seats and the door cards done.

I just got the doors done as I reckon i'd wear leather sits out quick doing courier work.

I was really interested in the door trims. The red trimmed door skins are apparently 650 each. So I mite try do it myself.
