My brother in law has a BAXR6 (acid rush) with 18 or 19 inch mags, lowered with only 66,000 kays for 20,000 ONO.
He'd come down on that price a little too. If I had pics, I'd post a for sale ad in the for sale section, but thought I'd mention it here to put the price of the S1 XR8 (and it's kays) in perspective. All the best with what you decide. GK

12000 is a good price if you are a seller, but too much if you are a buyer. You can get the 220kw AU3 XR8s for high teens, so an AU1 should be around $10 to 11k, unless it's immaculate, then $12k might not be too bad. In the overall scheme of things, $1k here or there is nothing to worry about though - if you like it, buy it.

True, you can buy a AUIII XR8 in the high teens. The condition, k's travelled vary greatly. I've just been through this.
I wanted a 220kw vehicle, therefore it had to be a S2 or S3. I found a AUII XR8 Rebel. I'm not saying what I paid for it, cause it's no-one elses business. But it had what I wanted and I liked it so I bought it. Basically IMO, if YOU like it, it has what YOU want and YOU are happy with the $$$ etc, go for it!

See if you get the priced reduced by about $1500.00 That will leave you money to get the brakes upgraded. The S1 brakes are not quite adequate.
Other than that go for it.

12k seems a little high to me. There is a nice AUII 220kw up my way atm that you'd get for 16k. It's in good nick and has less than 100k on it.

Keep in mind, and lets say its worth all of 12K now ( but seems a little high ), very shortly you can very easily drop another few K of them as the runout on the BF starts.

Cant comment on the price but the AU1 XR8 is a fairly nice car. My brother had one and it was nice to drive and to ride in. Wasn't a rocket as far as accelleration goes by todays standards but it depends on what you compare it to.

Any more than 11k is a little too much. The mileage is about average for the age of the car.
Black tells me you're prepared to spend lots of time on washing and detailing.
