Wheel colour ideas - "not quite black"

Want to paint some newly acquired black rims.

Ideally want the colour near black, but lightens up enough to show details like a gunmetal. All those tacky "chrome in a can" are out of the question, so looking for recommendations

So far I'm thinking EG Ego, but that's just going off pics on the internet, perhaps it's too dark/light in person?
