Default LV XR5 strange boost

OK wifes LV xr5 has started doing bizarre things with the boost you tramp it and it goes up to a bit more than .5 bar then it drops to 1/4 bar then rises to 1/2 again - what the fack anybody encountered this, what is it, and how do I fix it tanx focus peoples

Not at all mate, it's amazing how intrusive our ESP is.

That's why unless it's raining or I am just driving to work n back, first thing I do is turn it off

Yeah the system can ruin take offs! I turn it off regularly, unless (like you said bourney) it's raining or on the way to work

Well bugger me i didnt know that, although ive really only drivin back and forth to work might turn it off tommorrow and see what the difference is

It's definately better with it of from a hard driving stand point. It gets even more stroppy with more mods.

Very true Tj, probably should of mentioned that.

With the mods I am running which are not extreme in any sense, ESP is just purely a pain when you do anything, including over taking.

In stock guise it isn't as bad. But really for normal driving, just turn it off and enjoy, nothing bad will happen

I had a go with it off on the way home from work today, nothing special just some berries from the lights im surprised how intrusive it is.

The Mondeo must use a totally different system.
I do not find it intrusive at all.
Maybe the extra weight, combined with the detuned version and different gear ratios, result in a different feeling. Although I run bluefin which changes the tuning to probably be in line with a stock focus.

Anyone regularly driven both and compared?
