Hey guys, I was wondering if any one could give any information in regards to re-buidling the standard carb on my mk2 escort. I have noticed flats spots when i accelerate and it farts around when i have it at 3/4 throttle, its not the timing as i have had that all redone, along with new condenser and coil. Should i just get a 350 holley or different newer carb opinions guys PLEASE I am very inexperience when i comes to carbies. :

What engine.. 1.6 or 2.0? What model Weber do you have, manual choke/auto? (look for a tag or it should be engraved on the base). First 2 letters should be DC__ 32/36 if you have the original Weber. A carby kit like this one here or this one here would be a good start, specially if you plan to keep the car and it running good. It's pretty simple to rebuild the factory Weber using that kit. If you need more help, let me know. I have a Weber manual that covers these carb's.
