Default Importing large parts?

I would like to import a couple of fibreglass spoilers from the USA (and possibly a fibreglass bonnet), but don't know who to turn to to import them for me? I know where to get them; I've dealt with the same company on numerous occassions for boxes of smaller parts, however larger parts would become prohibitive to ship via normal means. I need to get an importer to arrange transport from from Ohio to Cal and then shipping to Victoria. Has anyone had any good experience arrange this sought of larger-sized-parts import through a Victorian company?

Yeah, there was a dealership in Victoria, maybe Geelong that was advertising that they do this. Ah, forget the name, just ring a few of the local chev dealers/importers (actually call the ones in Melbourne instead) and see if they can help you. If they're bringing over a 20foot container for one car anyway, I'm sure they could fit a few spoilers and a bonnet in there aswell. Only thing you'd have to worry about is getting it to Detroit.

Ok, just doen some calculations on - https://www.oceanfreightusa.com/. From Cleveland to Melbourne for 10 Cubic Metres (overshot but just incase) and 20kg you're looking at USD$1830, which is a bit. Go to the site, find the number and ring them for a quote.

Where abouts are you located? Where abouts in the US are the parts located? I have a couple of contacts in Melbourne. One of the blokes loads out of Indianapolis, IN for parts on the East side of the US and one loads out of Long Beach, CA for parts on the West side of the US. I can pass their contact info onto you if you would like.

Sorry mate I didn't read your post all the way through. Since your parts are located in Ohio your best to get them shipped to Indianapolis via UPS or Fed Ex and then get the shipper to handle it from there. The name of the company is Cheetah Imports and the man to speak to is Kevin Bailey. His local factory is located in Lilydale, Victoria. His contact number is:
0418 320 497. He just bought in a heap of stuff for me, my old man and a mate, it all arrived safely and it didn't cost the earth. Hope this helps.

I'll shoot an email to the supplier in Ohio and see how much to ship to Indianapolis. Once I know how much that is I'll speak to Kevin so I have an idea of total cost. Thanks for the info
Rod.

Any freight forwarder will be able to quote you; door to door.

Make sure you have the dimensions & the gross weight because you will be charged on the 'worst case'. 1,000kg = 1m3
