Smile What is the most value for money mod you have ever done?

Hey All,

Well almost everyone on here loves having a bit of a fiddle with their car, and most seem to have modified their car in some way. I'm interested, What is the best value for money mod you have ever done? Or mod that you have been really pleased with. Mine: Suspension. It was bugger to get on but the ride after was great!

King springs for $210 was pretty good value, but the best value mod i've done would have to be the cam on my old EA, cost like $120 but made a huge difference.

Edelbrock Performer RPM II intake manifold, lost a little bottom end but went from running out of puff around 4500-5000rpm to smashing the 6250rpm rev limiter without trying. Wasn't cheap but i got a pretty good deal on it.

For me it would have to be the Pacemaker extractors. Only paid $120 for them second hand and the difference they made was unreal.

Replacing the clapped out 3.9 engine and diff for the running gear out of an ED XR6/ECU, I had to use a smartlock override module in the EB 1, and was quite surprised when I turned the key first time and all worked as it should.

Multipoint conversion under $100 = 34.1rwkw gain.
Manual conversion under $200.

$80 for the B&M 'Launch Control' unit.

Clamps off the back brakes when installed upside down to make Massive burnouts easy.
To be able to start a skid in second gear, on the brakes, and have the car asking for third, is sooo worth the $80 + about the same for fitment.

yahoo189, no point swapping the TB on your six ;) I recall reading somewhere that the std items allow the motor to rev to 4000rpm at only 20% open.
