Mate has a P250 ute and has had water leaking in thru rear cabin vents. Tub is off to remove. AU vents NLA so he got FG vents from Ford who supplied 2 pieces for each vent.

However the 2 pieces dont fit together. Shape and size is ok but the back of one piece has 3 metal clips in it that won't allow to 2 parts to fit together
This makes me think there is another part that fits between the 2 parts he has but Ford say thats all there is in their exploded diagram.

Size of new parts look to be OK for hole in AU cabin wall to allow upgrade to FG parts.
Anyone had any experience with the FG cabin vents?

I have pics of the 2 parts but unable to post them here. Could PM to anyone on phone

Posted this in FG to FGX section and was referred to your section here as possible help source. Have part numbers if you need them

Hi mate,

Not sure what the question is. What are you trying to source AU body vents?

No they are NLA say Ford.

He's got FG vents but the two parts for one side of the car don't fit together due to metal clips being on the back side of one half of the vent. Wondering if there is a 3rd part missing to complete the vent

If you can PM with a mobile number I can send pics from my phone

Also looking for a single button power window switch for an FGII F6 (rear) looks like they're NLA as ebay supply is dried up?

I might be able to source 1 or 2, they are $150 each plus freight if they are still any left. After that gone apart from private collections.

Trying to identify a part number or what's compatible more than anything here. If there are still genuine parts available, that'd be good to know as well.

2011 FG XR6T ute rear brake hoses, both sides.

If it makes any difference, it has ABS, TC and DSC.

Thanks in advance. Hopefully.

2011 Is the change over year, what month/year do you have FG1 or FG2?

Also does it have standard, premium or high performance brakes?

They make a difference to the brake hoses.

Yeah...

March 2011, so FG. not FG2.

Rear calipers are 45mm piston, existing is on 303mm rotors, going up to 328mm territory rotors, so same caliper but 1/2" further out.

Upgrading the front to 6 piston Brembo, so mostly for looks than necessity and because I can.

Martin,

Safebrake braided lines? This is a family friendly forum so I will withhold my true thoughts on them as a company other than their idea of customer service* isn't, and why I'm looking for which brake line I might need and what is compatible.

*I have a set of their brake lines for an FPV ute, front are fine but the rear are not compatible because mine isn't FPV. I only just learned this myself, so that's on me for not making 100% sure. Reached out to them for an assist, they said they sent what was ordered, they were fully aware of the difference (and don't sell a set for what I need) and %$#&%$ you.

I didn't demand that they make it right, just some help to get what I needed and I did not ask for a handout, just some assistance to make it right even at my cost.

(I actually asked about a compatibility concern more than anything, wondering whether this was a known thing or something weird with my car only. Mine has some weird stuff as they were moving to FG2...)

Ideally, they'd take back the rears, send out the proper ones, hit me for some $$$ to cover the difference and postage and that'd be great. I'd be happy to buy the proper rears, eat the $$$ of the wrong ones and I'd be not 100% happy, but it'd be acceptable enough. Buying another full set of lines to use 2 from each set, and eat the cost of a full set? Eff that.

So no, I'll not take up your suggestion Martin. And I'll make sure I let anyone who asks know that buy them at your own risk because if there's a problem you're ^&%$#%...

These are all your genuine options for rear brake hoses for FG1 Ute. Let me know which ones you are after, and we can go from there.

I agree their service is pretty ordinary.

I bought a set to suit my RTV wagon (RTV ute ones) and they sat in the box for a few months until I got around to installing them.
Eventually opened the box and the fronts were the longer RTV ones, but the rears were regular length ones.
Sent them an email and they basically said too bad so sad, you bought them too long ago.
Quality of the parts are great however.

Yeah, if I'd known I wouldn't have gone anywhere near them.

I'll settle for making sure anyone else knows what they're getting into.

Unfortunately I paid by Paypal, and can't do much that way any more. My previous Paypal account, I could have forced the issue with a phone call. Nice to have an actual account manager to talk to. ;)

(BTW, They're OS at the moment, no prizes for guessing where...)

GTLEGEND, I'm guessing the 388CE and 339CE would be the right ones?

Thanks.

The RH 388CE can still get for $170, the LH 339CE is obsolete so would need to chase to see if I can find any around.

Get back to you on that one.

Don't panic if you can't find one, existing are ok and will work with the new calipers (same as the old ones) if needed.

It's one of those 'snowball' things, where you do one thing, and "while I'm there..."

Thanks again.

The four self-tapping screws with 8mm hex heads and captive washers used for retaining taillights in AU-onwards styleside utes, are they around still?
