For each category of car, how do people not buy the best in that category and ignore the other cars? How do they get suckered in? Like a Kia SUV, you would always buy a Toyota or ford etc first.
A lady at my work managed to buy a new Hyundai to replace her failing Viva/Daewoo. She ordered a base model in white, and I asked her why she didn't get it in yellow, which was her favourite colour.

"It's $500 extra... we can't afford it."

Not everyone has the paycheck to buy the best perceived brand. They get what they can.


Anyway, that's off topic... I did buy a '77 Sigma 2.0 5 speed manual. I copped a bit of criticism for that.

I've also got a 1985 car with less than 50k on the clock I'm thinking of selling, but that's another argument with someone, I'm guessing.
