Default Re: Geez! I hate that!

I've had an issue with one of my windows leaking inside during heavy rain recently but the gutters overflowed out the slots at best of times making it impossible to use the pergola as you'd get drenched going in and out.

I had them cleaned on Thursday and they blew away a lot of crap.

It ****ed down here a bit today and generally seems a lot better and no leaking but still a bit of overflow (much less) making it wet under the pergola.

For whatever reason they pitched the pergola to fall back into the house guttering so it just isn't enough down pipes considering it was extended in the first place, it just can't cope with the extra square metres.

The only way I can think of sorting it out with the existing structure is to use battens to slope it away from the house or to drop the posts and beams but either way surely would need another gutter on the pergola.

Hopefully I won't get more leaking inside as that is most important but still need to sort out this pergola because it is not ideal :(
