My speedo intermittently just drops to 0. This is apparently a common problem solved by replacing the vehicle speed sensor so I've ordered a new one.
I was wondering where exactly the speed sensor is located. I don't have the new one yet so I can't directly compare the part, but I'm assuming it looks like
this picture. There are some pictures of it's location on various non-fiesta models however there are no pictures which show the location for mine (2005 Fiesta WQ 3-door).
Before I waste a lot of time can anybody tell me if it is on the driver's side or the passenger's side? Is it is close to the front or the rear (firewall side)?
I suspect it is on the passenger's side beneath the area covered by the battery.
