No worries.
My knowledge and comments are based on the Mk5 / MD. I'm not sure about earlier models.
Funny you should bring up the Passat. We were looking at moving to these in diesel, now that the mighty Mondeo is gone. They've scrapped diesel on these too.
I think automotive reps will be pushed to either diesel commercial, or petrol Hybrid in the future. Neither of which I am a fan of.
