we looked at melrose caravan park as well, as they also have a bush camping section.

no plans have been made as far as day trips or anything like that. i'm sure we'll have a bit of a scout around while we are out that way.

looking forward to getting out again. taking the decision to buy a new tent to simplify the set up and pack up, and deciding to buy on 'product' rather than 'price',sort of feels like we are starting from scratch again. we borrowed water containers, icebox and gas stove last time, so in a way, we are. i think i'm about to get to know the staff at snowys by their first names
