sorry i read the sticker wrong , my mistake , is says for R16's 225/235 and for R17's 235/245 .
wasn't there some rule that you can go 1 size over the max on the stickers ??
Just to note too , with the 225's 50 series profile on the 16's the tyres don't seem to be hanging off the rim to much . i originally had 245's 50 series on R15 8" rims years ago, they seemed fine .
