Umm...towing capacity, versatility, offroad capabilities.
You'll pay the same coin for a high end Ranger as you'll pay for a Prado.
With Pajero gone and Landcruiser or Patrol at drug money, there isnt really a lot of option outside ute based wagons which are a compromise so might aswell get the ute.
