Also, I'm not advocating the possible control mechanisms identified in this article, rather i have referred to it as it describes quiet concisely the relationships involved. If you are thinking about what options are available for control, I would strongly recommend that you have a chat to your GP before you make any decisions.

As others have said, the best thing is to reach out for support. You don't have to go through these periods feeling alone. Often, it is hard to think clearly during these episodes, so leaning on someone else who can think clearly is a smart decision. It sounds like you;re doing that, which is a great first step.
