That was the same as my previous Titanium also!
Same here as ope126 - dimmed DRLs functioning as park/position lights, and a bullet-shaped chrome "blank" inside the headlight below the high-beam bulb.

I guess the wiring for the park lights must still be behind the headlamp, just with no bulbs installed. If DRLs and projector lamps were ever an optional combo in Europe it would explain why that exists. I think I read that ADRs limit the number and placement of parking/position lights, so for AU-spec cars they disable (omit) the extra set of parkers.

As to why you had pre-existing bulbs, maybe a previous owner added them?
