I'm hoping its fixed for good, time will tell I guess, this is not the sort of problem you would want to have to pay for when the cars out of warranty. They really didn't say how many they had done but 'nobody' was scratching their head looking for the cause. The fault was picked up in the scan as a 'communication' error between the
BCM and the keyless start system the
BCM was the problem and the only fix was a replacement.
Mine was not at all related to the battery or programming.
